It pains me to write this, but I have to
break some very bad news about my wife, Lynne.
Regular readers of this blog will know that Lynne has been suffering from Ovarian Cancer for the last 2 or so years. Unfortunately, her cancer is now no longer confined to her Ovaries, and has spread to other parts of her body, most notably her Bowel. Sadly, her bowel ruptured 3 days ago, causing serious complications, and no end of pain for her. She is receiving the best of medical care at the moment, but no matter what treatment she receives, it won't be enough to repair the damage to her bowel.
Her prognosis is not very good, and her life expectancy has now been reduced to a matter of weeks.
As I'm sure you can imagine, I am devastated by this news. Friends and family alike are also taken aback by this news, but their support for Lynne, Rebecca & I has been overwhelming.
I've stated before that writing about Lynne's condition really helps me deal with things. I'm hoping that when I look back upon this entry it will help ease the pain I am feeling at the moment.
